The UAE's Maritime Pre-Load Cargo Information programme became mandatory on 1 October 2026 for applicable maritime cargo moving to, through or via the UAE. Shipping companies and freight forwarders should ensure the required cargo information is filed before loading and follow the National Advance Information Centre response process. The programme adds an advance-information step; it does not remove existing port or customs requirements on arrival.
For shippers, the practical step is to provide complete and consistent shipment-party, cargo and transport details early enough for the filing party to submit and address any response. If the vessel, routing or cargo details change, promptly confirm whether the filing needs an update. Do not assume a booking or bill of lading submission alone completes the MPCI process; verify the required status with the carrier or filing provider.
JW Marine's Freight Forwarding, Customs Clearance and Transportation pages describe related coordination areas. Confirm case-specific filing requirements with the responsible carrier or provider.
